KERRVILLE - Maurine E. (Pascoe) Cunningham, 90, of Kerrville, Texas, passed away on Aug. 18, 2005, in a local nursing home.
Mrs. Cunningham was born June 27, 1915, in Carroll, Iowa, to Howard and Ethyl Pascoe. Her mother, born in Wisconsin, and her father, born in Carroll, were descended from immigrants who came to the U.S. from Cornwall, England. She grew up on a farm and attended schools in the Carroll area.
Following one year at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, she married Howard M. Cunningham, also of Carroll, in 1936. The couple lived in Omaha, Neb., for four years, one year in Nacogdoches, Texas, followed by 37 years in Houston, before moving to Fredericksburg, Texas, in 1978. Howard passed away in 1982, at which time Mrs. Cunningham moved to Kerrville in 1997.
Survivors include sons, Kirby and wife Barbara of Kerrville and John and wife Georgia of Houston; daughter Karen and husband Tom Underwood of Kerrville; five grandchildren, Donna and husband Kenneth Lehmann of Denver, Colo., Mark Cunningham of Denver, Laura and husband Eric Martello of Keller, Texas, Leah Cunningham of College Station Texas, and Todd Underwood of Austin, Texas; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20 at Beckmann Funeral Home in Fredericksburg, officiated by the Rev. Warren Horning, pastor of First United Methodist Church in Kerrville, and the Rev. Casey Zesch, pastor of Bethany Lutheran Church in Fredericksburg. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Fredericksburg.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 321 Thompson Drive, Kerrville, TX 78028 or to Hill Country Memorial Hospital, 1020 South State Highway 16, Fredericksburg, TX 78624.
