Mrs. Hayden Succumbs
Mrs. Elizabeth J. Hayden, 53, of 212 Macon St., Nedrow, died Tuesday at Community-General Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Syracuse, she had lived in the Town of Onondaga many years. She was active in P-TA and Red Cross projects and was a member of Central City Chapter, OES, and its choir.
She also was active in Rockwell Methodist Church projects before its affiliation with St. Paul’s Methodist Church.
She was a member of South Onondaga Volunteer Fire Department’s auxiliary, South Onondaga Grange, St. Paul’s Methodist Church and Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Surviving are her husband, Harold G. Hayden; two sons, Robert of Marcellus and Paul Hayden of South Onondaga; a daughter, Miss Dawn Hayden of Nedrow; three brothers, John of Nedrow, James of Amber and Richard Cusick of Towson, Md.; six sisters, Mrs. Margaret Perry of Nedrow, Mrs. Virginia Young of Camillus, Mrs. Janet Kellogg of North Syracuse, Mrs. Nancy Lehman of Pittsford, Mrs. Beverly Tillis of Jacksonville, Fla., Mrs. Joanne Rinaldi of Baldwinsville; four grandchildren; 32 nephews and nieces.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Paul’s Methodist Church. Burial will be in White Chapel Memory Gardens, DeWitt.
Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at Greenleaf Funeral Home, 503 W. Onondaga St.
