BLACKSBURG — Ernest L. Nester, 61, died Wednesday, Aug. 30, 1989, in the Montgomery Regional Hospital.

He was a veteran of World War II and the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Armistead Nester.

Surviving are his wife, Pauline L. Nester; a daughter and son-in law, Mr. and Mrs. Paul E (Kathy) Poff; a son, Jeffrey W. Nester; a son and daughter-in-law, Mrs. and Mrs. Ricky L. Nester, all of Blacksburg; three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Yopp, Radford; Mrs. Mary Ritter, Bel Spring; Mrs. Alma Davis, Dublin; a brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Marion Nester, Martinsburg, W.Va. six grandchildren; three great grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday from the Merrimac Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Jerry Sloss officiating. Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. this evening at the the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home, Christiansburg.
