Rebecca Ellen WORKMAN, daughter of David and Sarah HEATON, was born on April 19, 1857, and departed this life September 7, 1925, being sixty-eight years, four months and eighteen days old.

She was married to Frank WORKMAN in December 1873. To this union were born eleven children, four boys and seven girls, namely: Melvin, of Tulip; Daniel and Addison, of Bloomfield; Mrs. Lillie RAY, of Ridgeport; Mrs. Dovie ORMAN, of Missouri; Mrs. Rose ARTHUR, of Gosport; Mrs. Florence RAINBOLT, Mrs. Dora HASH, of this place, and Ada, at home. Her husband and two children have preceded her in death. She was of a family of nine children; only three survive.

She joined the Church of God at an early age, and has lived a devoted Christian life until her death.

She had been in failing health for some time, yet bearing all her suffering with patience.

She was always read to help whom she saw in need.

She will be greatly missed but we feel our loss is Heaven’s gain. The funeral services were held at Tulip Wednesday, September 9, 1925. Rev. Charles SIMS officiating. Burial in the churchyard cemetery to await till Jesus comes.
