Franklin WORKMAN, son of Jerry and Cynthia WORKMAN, was born on August 11, 1846, and departed this life, September 27, 1924, aged seventy-eight years, one month and sixteen days.

He resided in eastern Richland Township, south of the I. C. railroad viaduct.

He was married to Rebecca HEATON, in December 1873. To this union were born eleven children—four boys and seven girls—two having preceded him to the Great Beyond.

He is survived by his wife, nine children, four brothers, several grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.

He was converted and joined the church in his early life and lived a devoted Christian until the time of his death.

He was a loving and affectionate husband, father and brother, and to all his many friends and neighbors

We do not sorrow as those who have no hope, for we feel assured that Frank is safe in the arms of Jesus.

The funeral services were held at the Tulip Church, Monday, September 29, Rev. Charles SIMS, officiating. Burial was in the churchyard cemetery.
