PENNINGTON GAP, Va. - Hallie Burton Myers was born in Dryden, Va., on Monday, Aug. 1, 1921, and departed this life on Saturday (March 11, 2006) at Lee Regional Medical Center in Pennington Gap, Va., at the age of 84 years.
She was a retired elementary school teacher, having retired from St. Charles Elementary School in 1984.
Mrs. Myers was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Clinton and Martha Galloway Burton, and had lived in Lee County most of her life and attended the Woodway Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Roy Myers of the home; one son, Robert Myers of Front Royal, Va. She is also survived by one granddaughter, Kelly Myers; and one grandson, Nicholas Myers.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Province Funeral Home in Pennington Gap, Va.
Services will be held at 9 p.m.. Monday in the sanctuary of the funeral home with Herman "Zeke" Moore officiating.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Lee Memorial Gardens in Woodway, Va.
Province Funeral Home of Pennington Gap, Va., is in charge of the arrangements.
