DRYDEN, Va. -- Alice B. Lucas , 89, died Tuesday (Feb. 10, 1998) at her residence.
A lifelong resident of Lee County, Va., Mrs. Lucas was a retired school teacher, having taught for the Lee County School System. She was a member of the Eastern Star and Dryden United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Haze B. Lucas .
Surviving are a son, Charles W. Lucas , Coeburn, Va.; two daughters, Mary Ruth Flanary, Archie, Mo., and Emily Boldon, Dryden, Va.; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Hallie Myers, Woodway, Va.
Calling hours are from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Sturgill Funeral Home, Pennington Gap, Va.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Joe Green officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Gardens, Woodway, Va.
