Ernest Freeman Rites at Coder Chapel Sunday
Funeral services for Ernest Newton Freeman, 76, who died Friday afternoon at 4 in the Prairie View rest home near Lewistown, were held in Coder's chapel here Sunday, May 29, at 2 p.m. The Rev. Coleman White officiated with Clyde Myers as soloist and Mrs. Gayle Spees at the piano.
Pallbearers were Ben Barnes, Bob Plunkett, Jim Fresh. Harry Ellis, Lester Ellis and Albert Poor. Interment was in Newark cemetery at Newark, Mo.
Mr. Freeman had lived in the rest home one year. He was born in Knox county Sept. 16, 1883, a son of Jasper and Anna White Freeman. He never married.
Surviving are three brothers Jack Freeman of Ewing, and Frank and John Freeman of LaBelle, and three sisters, Mrs. Frank Abbett of Newark, Mrs. Pinkie Longfellow of Rutledge and Mrs. Lena Skirvin of La Belle.
