Joe Frank Freeman
Funeral services for Joe Frank Freeman, 85, were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 14, in the Coder Funeral Chapel LaBelle, conducted by the Rev. John Nickel. Burial was in the Newark cemetery.
Music for the service was provided by Mrs. E. N. Haldeman and Mrs. John Nickel. Pallbearers were Dale and J. W. Lay, Bruce Minear, Leon Franks, Jennings Buswell and Eldon Bradley.
Mr. Freeman died at 8:30 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 12, in his home in LaBelle.
He was born at Newark, Mo, on Sept. 1, 1885, a son of Jasper and Anna Freeman. He was a retired farmer and painter. He was married to Jesse Pearl Peak at Shelbyville June 9, 1921.
Surviving are the widow; a son, Teddy Freeman of LaBelle; a sister, Mrs. Lena Skirvin of LaBelle, and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.
