Dell LaVon ”Connie” Storer, 85, passed away January 18, 2015, at the home of his daughter in Layton, UT. He was born August 2, 1929, in Idaho Falls to Dell Roy Storer and Margaret Van Sickle and grew up in the Ririe area. He married Edna V. Mann on November 12, 1947, and they had 6 children. He enjoyed telling folks that he married “a Mann.” He worked as a truck driver and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He enjoyed yard work, gardening, camping, fishing and spending time with grandchildren. Survivors included: children Virginia (Gary) McKay of Layton, UT, Peggy (Dave) Rockwood of Rigby, Craig (Joy) Storer of Ucon, Vicki (Wade) Anderson of Rexburg, Kelly (Billy) McFarland of Brigham City, and Margaret (Raul) Smout, Layton, UT; brother Brad Storer of Idaho Falls; sister Dorothy Hurley of Rigby; 14 grandchildren; and 40 great grandchildren. Preceding were his wife Edna and sister Alice Adamson. His family thanked Nurse Dee and aide Courtney of Summit Health Care for loving care they gave to LaVon. Graveside services on January 24 followed visitations at Wood Funeral Home East Side.
