William Mills, son of Luke and Annie Mills, a paper maker born in Needham, Norfolk, Massachusetts, in 1799, died April 3, 1879 in Chelsea, Massachustters; and
Mary Ann Severaine (born in Maine, circa 1799).
Find A Grave memorials for William and Mary could not be found as of the date of this writing in December, 2013.
The maiden name of Francis' mother is somewhat debatable. The name Mary Ann Severaine is clearly discernible from the Wellesley, Norfolk, Vital Record of his brother George Mills' death (see the crop from that death record on his memorial, taken from the Massachusetts Vital Records, 1841-1910, Volume 392, page 326). But her maiden name is listed as Mary E. Cooper in the Newton, Middlesex, Massachusetts Vital Record of Francis' death. This writer believes that the former name most likely is correct given the large number of references to Mary A. Mills in the vital records pertaining to most of the children of William and Mary Mills.
Francis Mills, a 24 year old Trader, married Julia Amanda Hubbard, age 23, on June 14, 1866 in Newton, Middlesex, Massachusetts.
His occupation was "Brakeman" in June, 1871 according to the Newton, Middlesex, Massachusetts Vital Record of the birth of his son William W. Mills.
His occupation was "Baggage Master" in late 1873 and early 1874 according to his Masons membership card.
The cause of death was "Lobar Pneumonia" according to the Newton, Middlesex, Massachusetts Vital Record of his death.
