Fr. Bauer came to the Lincoln Diocese on May 7, 1918, and was incardinated into the Dioceses of Lincoln on May 4, 1920.
He served at St. Wenceslaus, Bee, NE (1918-1922), St. Anthony, Bruno NE (1922-1931), and St. Vitus, Touhy, NE (1931-1937).
Died at St. Joseph Hospital, Omaha, Nebr. on Dec. 31, 1937 after having suffered a stroke on Dec. 8, 1937.
Funeral Mass conducted by Most Rev. Bishop L. B. Kucera, of Lincoln, Nebr. at St. Vitus, Touhy with burial at St. Anthony, Bruno.
