Jimmie Lou Keele was born in Bazette, Navarro County, Texas, the daughter of Henry Washington and Effie May Oldham Keele. She attended schools in San Saba and Lampasas, graduating from Lampasas High School in 1953. She was first married to David N. McCrea and they were the parents of twins, Terry and Jerry McCrea. She later married Robert Collins and they had a son, Robert, Jr. A still later marriage was to Wayne Scroggins.
Jimmie was a housewife and mother. She liked reading, watching TV, cooking and going to garage sales. She passed away on October 18, 2013 in Llano, Texas.
