Rosemary F. Kiffmeyer was the daughter of Margaret Clara Koch and Joseph Kiffmeyer. She had a sister, Verena Kiffmeyer LaZebnick who died after contracting tuberculosis at age 29 while working as head nurse at Seton hospital. She also had 4 brothers; Joseph, William, George and "Charles".

Rosemary married Eugene Imbus in the mid 1920's of the Imbus roofing company. Rosemary and Eugene had three children from 1925 to 1928; Eugene Jnr, Virginia and Martha. With their fourth child, Rosemary, she died of influenza at age 26 with complications from childbirth.

Rosemary's mother, Margaret, had died in 1923, 6 months prior to the birth of her sister Verena's first child, Margaret (named for her mother as she was her first grand daughter.) Her sister Verena then died in 1925, a month after giving birth to her son Charles, who also died. Margaret, Verena's daughter was being raised in St. Joe's orphanage even though her father Charles was still alive.

The daughter that Rosemary had two weeks prior to her death survived. She was named Rosemary and was raised by Cresentia Koch Clooney (Margaret Koch's sister), grandmother of Nick Clooney, great grandmother of George Clooney.

Rosemary grew up and like her cousin Margaret, never new where her mother was buried. Margaret died never knowing, but Rosemary found her mother and her Aunt Verena buried together and was kind enough to purchase a grave marker at St. Joe's cemetery, marking Verena and Rosemary as well as their father Joseph Kiffmeyer and his second wife Minnie Fitzsimmons.
