Elizabeth Holley Patterson, 95, of 713 Lansbury Drive Danville went to be with her heavenly Father on Monday, August 19, 2013 at her residence. She had been in declining health for two weeks.

Mrs. Patterson was born October 23, 1917 a daughter of Willie Coleman Holley and Lessie Rigney Holley. She had lived her early life in the Dry Fork community and worked as a supply clerk for Dan River Mills and worked at Durham Hosiery from 1958 until her retirement in1985.

Mrs. Patterson was a member of Temple Baptist Church and served as a volunteer at Roman Eagle Memorial Home for many years.

Survivors include a daughter, Ann Cook and husband, Bob of Blairs; a daughter-in-law, Betty J. Patterson of Garner, NC; a brother, Herbert K. Holley and wife, Joan of Danville; five grandchildren, Crystal Hankins and fiancée Freddie Wise, Leslie Oberhaus and husband, Greg, Robert Patterson, Jr. and wife, Melina, William Michael Patterson and wife, Maia Sisk and Andy Patterson and wife, Terri; 7 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Special thanks to her caregiver, Ruby Wise.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Robert Wayne Patterson, a sister, Ruth Parrish, three brothers, Harry W. Holley, Henry Coleman "H.C." Holley and her twin brother, Julian S. Holley, who was killed in World War II.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at 11 A.M. from the Wrenn-Yeatts North Main Chapel by the Reverend Roy Newton and Pastor Wade Rowland. Interment will follow in Highland Burial Park.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 – 7:30 pm at the Wrenn-Yeatts North Main Chapel and other times at the residence.
