Mrs. Bertha E. Sweebe, 70, wife of William Sweebe, Lincoln Township, route 1, Sanford, died at her home about 3:30 p.m. Saturday, after a long illness.

She was born May 11, 1888. In Wood County, Ohio, and she married Mr. Sweebe in 1906 in Bowling Green, Ohio. The couple moved to Midland County in 1925 and they lived in North Bradley from 1947 until 1956 when they moved to Lincoln township.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by five sons, Burton, Orville, Claude and William Sweebe Jr., all ob Midland, and Harry of Auburn; one daughter, Mrs. Helen Norris, of Fort Wayne, Ind.; 23 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and one brother, Orville Flickinger of Monroe, Mich.

funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Bradley Funeral Home with the Rev.Howard A. Webster of the Memorial Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in Midland cemetery.
