Harold L. Freeland, died Monday, August 12, 2013 at Brookefield Park, St. Paul, Nebraska.

Harold was born April 12, 1924 near Clearwater in Antelope County, Nebraska to Louie W. and Gladys F. (Verplank) Freeland.

Harold was raised near Palmer, Nebraska where he went to country school in Nance County. He graduated from the 8th grade at Sunflower School north of Palmer, Nebraska.

After his schooling, he worked on the farm. When his father passed away, Harold's mother and her children moved to Central City, Nebraska.

Harold and his brother Rolland started a lawn care business in Central City, Nebraska where they operated the business for many years.

After his brother had passed away, Harold lived with his sister for a short time and then moved into Heritage Living Center and then to Brookefield Park, St. Paul, Nebraska.

Harold enjoyed playing horseshoes.

Survivors are: sisters and spouses, Euveda Wilson of St. Paul, Nebraska, Betty Beck and Lois and Norman Petersen all of Grand Island, Nebraska, Zella Lubken of Central City, Nebraska, Minnie Rasmussen of Phoenix, Arizona, Mabel and Ernest Burkhardt of Palmer, Nebraska Wanda and Fred Rother of Wolbach, Nebraska, Ruby and Richard Henderson of Hastings, Nebraska and a host of family and friends.

Harold is preceded in death by: parents; brother, Rolland Freeland; sisters, Shirley Abbott and Opal Oswald; brothers-in-law, Lyle Wilson, Ron Beck, Alfred Lubken and Edwin Rasmussen.

Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Palmer, Nebraska.
