Mr. Den Herder was born in the Netherlands in 1874. At the age of fifteen years he came to America and in 1908 was married to Gysje Vander Brake. He died on January 10, 1935, at 2:15 in the morning.
He died after a short illness. Mr. Den Herder was sixty years and nine months at the time of his death.
He had been a member of the consistory of the First Reformed church for six years.
Mr. Den Herder has always lived in this vicinity since coming to America and a host of friends.
He leaves besides his wife, two brothers, Eibert and Jake Den Herder, both of Sioux Center; and one sister Mrs. H. Dr[aa]yer of Ireton.
The funeral services were held in the First Reformed church, Rev. Brunsting officiating.
