ZENO R. NAPIER


COLLINS, Miss. -- Funeral services for Zeno Ralph Napier, who was killed Sunday night in Mt. Olive, were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at Williamsburg Methodist Church.


Officiating ministers were Rev. T. A. King, pastor of the church; Rev. A. J. Leggett, retired Methodist minister; Rev. M. E. Sharp, pastor of Waynesboro Methodist Church; Rev. R. B. Walton, pastor of the Sumrall Methodist Church, and Rev. O. S. Lewis, pastor of Collins Methodist Church. Interment was in the church cemetery.


Mr. Napier, who was 30 years old, was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Napier of Collins, and the husband of Mrs. Irene Napier of Hattiesburg.


In addition to his parents and wife, he is survived by four brothers, Denton Napier of Albertville, Ala., Odell Napier of Wings, Ky., Billy Sam Napier of Clinton, Ky., and Dewitt Napier of Collins; and three sisters, Mrs. Clarence King of Bassfield, Mrs. W. T. Ratliff of Norris, Tenn., and Mrs. Harrell Holloway of DeKalb.


Active pallbearers were: Erman Napier, Mack Graham, Aleus Graham, Pat Williams, W. G. Kelly, Billy Jack Ponder, J. P. Deen and Billy Canfield.


Honorary pallbearers were schoolmates and county officials of Covington County, including Dennis Yates Jr., Mooney Jordan, Willis Rutland, Carr Dees, Travis Aultman, Ellis Flynt, Cleveland Graham, Bill Herran, Rossie McQueen, Wiley Graham, Lawrence Little, Mack Kelly and Mack Rogers.
