HERMAN GIRL DIED SUDDENLY HERE MONDAY

Marilyn Laverne Bevins, 16-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Bevins, of Herman, died at Community Memorial Hospital in Blair Monday after a brief period of hospitalization. Cause of the death has not been determined.

Miss Bevins was born at Guthrie Center, Iowa, March 1, 1953. The family has lived in the Herman area for some time and she attended school at Herman.

She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Bevins, by a grandfather, C. F. Bevins of Cedar Rapids, Nebraska, and grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Michael, of Guthrie Center, Iowa. She had two brothers and three sisters.

The brothers are Gerald Bevins, of Norfolk, Nebraska and Frank Bevins who is serving with the Marines in Vietnam. A sister, Kay L. Bevins, lives at Shawnee Mission, Kansas, and sisters Ramona and Laureen are at home in Herman.

Funeral services will be held at the Methodist Church on Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m. The Rev. Rex Bevins will conduct the service.

Burial under the direction of the Campbell Mortuary will be made in the Blair Cemetery. (The Blair Enterprise, September 11, 1969)
