Twila E. Bevins, 83, of Omaha, died Monday, June 16, 2008, at Select Specialty Hospital in Omaha.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 20, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home.
Interment will be in the Blair Cemetery.
Twila Evelyn Michael was born Oct. 19, 1924, in St. Edwards to Elmer and Ellen (McCarty) Michael.
On Oct. 31, 1940, she married Gerald Emery Bevins in Fullerton. Mrs. Bevins was a nurse's aide companion for more than 20 years. She worked at Crowell Memorial Home in Blair for a short time. Afterward, she became a self-employed private nurse's aide companion and worked for families in Omaha and in Scottsdale, Ariz. She also helped her husband manage apartment complexes in North Platte, Norfolk and Glenwood, Iowa.
She is survived by her daughters, Kay Kline of Scottsdale, Ramona Bevins of Omaha, Laureen Greenwood of Lincoln, and son, Frank Bevins, Sr. of Papillion; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald; son, Gerald M. Bevins; daughter, Marilyn L. Bevins; brother, Leonard Michael; and sister, Doris (Michael) Edwards.
