Within the immediate family Aunt Minnie Lee was affectionately called "Bitsy". She and Uncle Raymond's sons are Raymond Fisher Weaver and Earnest Franklin Weaver [not Frank, though he was called "Frank", so his correct name is Earnest Franklin Weaver (1921-1997)]. He was named Franklin after his maternal Great Grandather Hugh Samuel Franklin; my father (first cousin to Frank) was also named after Grandpa Franklin with the first name Hugh --Hugh A. "Boots" Yankie. He and Frank were very close.

Great Uncle Edmund W. Zenore Whitfield (brother to Aunt Minnie Lee) originally began a car business on Franklin Avenue, but he died at a relatively young age in a car accident near Bruceville-Eddy. This was particularly devastating to the family since Uncle Eddy, the only Whitfield boy, had survived WWI. Frank got his start in the car business with Uncle Eddy and the business evolved into the Pontiac dealership in this area, Frank Weaver Pontiac, a business well known in Waco for many years and located on Valley Mills Dr. Frank's brother Raymond moved back to Waco to serve as Service Manager at the dealership until his death.

Since both of Aunt Minnie Lee's sons had passed on, my parents, Boots and Opal Yankie came into town from China Spring daily to care for Aunt Minnie Lee in her later years as she was a sister to my Grandmother Zola Whitfield Yankie. (Information provided by great niece of Aunt Minnie Lee, Nancy Yankie, daughter of H. A. "Boots" Yankie.)
