MARGUERITE ELIZABETH DIXON

Marguerite Elizabeth Dixon, 81, of Blair, died Wednesday, March 15, 2000, at Memorial Community Hospital.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 18, at the First United Methodist Church in Blair. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Marguerite Elizabeth Rathmann was born on Janaury 1, 1919, to Gustav and Grace (Swihart) Rathmann in Blair. She graduated from Blair High School in 1936. She attended Dana College for one year.

On Sept. 7, 1938, she married Elmer Dixon in Blair. The couple farmed in the Blair area. He preceded her in death in 1978.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, P.E.O.*, Blair Hospital Sunshine Ladies, Bridgeview Extension Club, Bridge Club, Book Club, and Fremont Artists Association. She created water color painting and scratch board artistry. She also worked with other media to create art.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Judy Jo and Robert McMaster of Millard; and Joy and Merle Petersen of Elk Horn, Iowa; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Memorials are suggested to the First United Methodist Church, Blair Rescue Squad, or Blair YMCA.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
