CURTIS RATHMAN DIED IN OMAHA AUGUST 11TH

Curtis Rathmann, lifetime Blair man, died Tuesday at Veterans Hospital in Omaha following a lingering illness. Mr. Rathmann had suffered from heart trouble for several years and had experienced a partial paralytic stroke several months ago. He was 61 years old.

The deceased man was born in Blair August 23, 1903 and grew to manhood in this community. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Gus Rathmann, early day Ford dealer.

As a young man Mr. Rathmann was associated with his father in the automobile business. Later he was engaged in the Fort Tractor and implement business and in recent years he has operated a restaurant on east Washington street.

He served in World War II and subsequently became a member of the Stanley E. Hain Post of the American Legion and a member of the Blair Post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by his wife and by a son. In addition he is survived by a sister and brothers.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at the First Christian Church in Blair. Burial will be made in the Blair cemetery.
