LAST RITES CONDUCTED FOR MRS. FANNIE WHEAT
Funeral services were held yesterday morning for Mrs. Fannie Wheat, 76, who died unexpectedly from a heart attack Thursday afternoon at the home of a daughter, Mrs. J. W. Baggett, on the Hargrove Road. Rites were conducted from the Dunn's Creek Church with the Rev. H. C. Bell officiating. Jones and Spigener directed interment.
She was a lifelong resident of Tuscaloosa County and was a member of the Dunn's Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving are four sons: W. Wheat of Northport, Scott Wheat of Brownville, Early Wheat of Echola, and John Wheat of Chicago; five daughters also survive. They are Mrs. J. W. Baggett, Mrs. M. T. Jordan of Thomasville, Mrs. Lester Ashcraft of Holt, Mrs. F. C. Glass of Bessemer, and Mrs. L. C. Steiner of Echola.
