Services for Louise Conley, 82, were held Saturday, Jan. 2 at Wayne Zion Lutheran Church with burial in Wayne Zion Cemetery. The Rev. Lenwood Monte officiated at the services.
Louise Conley of rural Anamosa died suddenly at her home Wed. Dec. 30. Louise A Husmann was born March 20, 1910 near Center Junction, the daughter of Wilke Husmann and Margaret Weers Husmann. She received her education in the Jones County Schools.
Louise Husmann and Owen Conley were married June 22, 1935 in Pine River, Minn. For 34 years, they farmed in rural Anamosa.
Survivors include her husband; a son, James E. Conley of Anamosa; two daughters, Jo Ann Christie of Marion and Diane Ellis of Center Junction; two sisters, Dena Dirks of Amber and Alvena Rink of Monticello. Also surviving are five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, four sisters, and a son in infancy.
Casket bearers were John Husmann, Robert Dirks, John Henry Dirks, Clifford Dirks, Ernest Husmann, and William Wennekamp.
