OBITUARY: Harbor Beach Times, Thursday, December 30, 1965-Obituary-
GEORGE D. SILVERTHORN

George D. Silverthorn, 67, passed away in Harbor Beach Community hospital on Tuesday, Dec. 28 after being a patient there since Friday.
He was born June 22, 1898 in Harbor Beach to the late Mr. and Mrs. W.S. Silverthorn.
He married Myrtle J. Minard on April 14, 1920 in Harbor Beach.
Mr. Silverthorn was employed in the starch area of Huron Milling Company and it's predecessor, Hercules Powder Company, from which he retired July 1, 1963.
He was a member of Milton Lodge No. 147 I.O.O.F. and a member of First Methodist church.
Survivors are his wife, Myrtle; one son, William SIlverthorn, Fort Lauderdale, Florida; three daughters, Mrs. Delbert Callender, Harbor Beach, Edythe Silverthorn, Warren and Mrs. Betty Ogden, also of Warren; and fourteen grandchildren.
The remains are in the Ramsey Funeral home where funeral services will be held on Friday at 1:30 p.m. Rev Merle Nichols of the First Methodist church will officiate.
Milton Lodge No. 147 I.O.O.F. will have memorial services on Thursday at 8 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Rock Falls cemetery.
