Margaret 'Peg' Fuchs

81, went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012, after an extended illness. She left this life surrounded by her loving family. Preceded in death by her parents, eight brothers and sisters; and her youngest son, Bob.
Survived by her husband of 61 years, Ernest; sister, Harriet Laubacher; brother, Fritz Laubacher; 11 children, . . . .; 20 grandchildren, . . . ; and 10 great-grandchildren with number 11 due in August. She graduated in 1947 from Canton Central Catholic High School, then worked as a secretary at the Hoover Company until 1951, when she left to start her family of 12 children. At age 56 she became a licensed massage therapist, practiced for 21 years and retired in 2007. She delivered Meals on Wheels for 36 years. She loved knitting, crocheting and sewing and donated many items to local charities. She also enjoyed traveling with her sister Harriet. Her Catholic faith was of utmost importance to her. She was a life-long member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church where she was a Eucharistic Minister, member of the choir and past president of the Ladies Guild. She also attended mass each morning at Sancta Clara Monastery where she volunteered countless hours. She made hundreds of hymnal covers, did sewing for the sisters, helped with their soup and bread sale and made the schedule for the readers and Eucharistic ministers. Peg was admired for her endless faith in the Lord and for her unconditionally loving and giving nature. She will be deeply missed.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 10 a.m. in St. John's Catholic Church with Fr. Ronald Klinger as Celebrant. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at the Lamiell Funeral Home. St. John's Guild will have a service Sunday at 1:45 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to St. John the Baptist Church or Sancta Clara Monastery. Condolences may be made to:
