James W. Laubacher, age 71, of 2nd St. N.W., died Saturday in Aultman Hospital after a short illness. Born in Malvern, he had been a Canton resident most of his life. He was a 1942 graduate of St. John’s High School and was a World War II Army veteran. He was the former owner of Casper and Mottice Floor Covering Inc., retiring in 1986. . . . Survived by his wife, . . . , three daughters and sons-in-laws, . . .; three sons and two daughters-in-law, . . . ; 12 grandchildren . . . ; four sisters, Dorothy Laubacher of Louisville, . . . of Canton, Sr. Anne Laubacher of Allegany, NY and Mrs. Ernest (Peg) Fuchs of Canton; three brothers, John, Charles and . . . , all of Canton. Preceded in death by two sisters, Katherine Violand and Vivian Pettigrew; and a brother, Earl Laubacher. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church with Fr. Thomas P. Dyer as celebrant. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. .
