Mr. King was a member of First Baptist Church, of Tuscumbia, and was retired from Reynolds Metals. He was a Mason.
He is survived by his wife, Effie King, of Tuscumbia; son, Lawrence Harlon King, also of Tuscumbia; stepdaughters, Sandra Marks and Debra Ledlow, both of Decatur; granddaughters, Tina King, of Tuscumbia, Terri King, of Madison, Christie Ledlow, Megan Rice; and grandson, Timothy Ledlow, all of Decatur; sisters, Viola Harper, of Russellville, and Mary Tullis, of Spruce Pine, Ala.
Pallbearers are Price Abernathy, J.D. Marks, Tim Ledlow, David Tullis, Charles Farris and Timothy Ledlow.
Honorary pallbearers are Bill Gober, Gerald King and Dr. Lynn Ridgeway.
Morrison Funeral Home, of Tuscumbia, is directing.
