Graveside services for Claude Daniel Wampler, 90, of 3019 S. 10th St., Caldwell, who died Saturday, March 26, at a Boise nursing home, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell, by Dr. Larry Crist of the Treasure Valley Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, Caldwell, under the direction of Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.

He was born Dec. 1, 1892, at Greeley, Neb. to Jacob and Rosie Alexander Wampler. He was reared and educated in the Hillsdale, Okla., area. He entered the U.S. Army and served during World War I, and was honorably discharged in 1919. He married Twila Bobbitt on Aug. 3, 1920, at Enid, Okla., where he worked at a Ford Garage. In 1925 they moved to Caldwell, and in 1928 they returned to Nash, Okla., where they farmed. In 1936 they moved back to Caldwell where he worked at the Ford garage and also farmed. He retired in the late 1950's and he began selling Watkins products for the next several years. He attended the Treasure Valley Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, Caldwell, was a member of the Caldwell American Legion, a charter member of the VFW, and a member of the WWI veterans.

He is survived by his wife of Caldwell; two sons, Marvin of Fresno, Calif., and Lewis of Caldwell; three daughters, Myrna Coon and Glenda Samuelson, both of Corvallis, Ore., and Lora Albright of McCall; 10 grand-children, nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a grandchild and 12 brothers and sisters.
