LUTHER THOMAS REED --
Luther Thomas Reed of Bonne Terre, passed away January 8, 1977, at the Mineral Area Osteopathic Hospital at the age of 71 years. He was born June 22, 1905 in Piedmont a son of the late Samuel Brown Reed and Pearl (Williams) Reed.

He was united in mariage to Ressie Crocker on June 12, 1924, who survives.

Also surviving are: two sons, Sam Reed of Pilot Knob and Jerry Reed of Bonne Terre; four daughters, Alma (Mrs. Harry) Reichert of Columbia, Illinois, Nina (Mrs. Ronald) McCloud of Bonne Terre, June (Mrs. Douglas) Lotz of Millstadt, Illinois and Bonnie (Mrs. John) Gottman of Bonne Terre; two brothers, Everett Reed of Belleview and William Reed of Pilot Knob; four sisters, Mollie (Mrs. Wesley) Boring of Belleview, Gladys (Mrs. Earl) Anderson of Martinsville, Ill., Georgia (Mrs. George) Ahrens of Arcadia and Helen (Mrs. Carson) Russell of Springfield; fourteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were one brother and two grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 12, 2:00 p.m. at the Sparks Chapel in Bonne Terre with Rev. Darrell Jauch officiating. Interment was at St. Francois Memorial Park under the direction of Dale Sparks Funeral Home in Bonne Terre.
