Doris Lee Decker, 80 of Cool Ridge went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 23rd, 2013. Born May 29, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Orville and Mavis McQuade Farley.
Doris was a loving mother, wife and MaMa who lived for her family and was proud of each and everyone. She loved to cook and take care of her family especially during the holidays.
Doris attended church with her family; she will be greatly missed by everyone.
Doris is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Donnie Ray Decker; parents, Orville and Mavis Farley; grandson, Chip Thompson and sister, Eleanor Large.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Priscilla (Thompson) Painter and husband John of Cool Ridge; sons, Ray Decker and wife Bert of Jacksonville, FL, David Decker and wife Barbara of Hurricane, Jonathan Decker and wife, Patti of Lavergne, TN; grandsons, Brandon Thompson and wife Susan of Cool Ridge, Melissa Zimmerman and husband Brian of Jacksonville, FL, Daniel Ray Decker of TX, Tracy Decker Baird and husband Brandon of Edwardsville TN, David Jacob "Jake" Decker of Hurricane, Christopher Decker and wife Andrea of Arkansas; granddaughter; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Sonny Farley of Jacksonville, FL and sister, Carol Farley Yeager of Beckley.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 26th, 2013 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley, with Pastor Luke Richmond officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
Friends may gather with the family Tuesday from 1 – 2 PM at the funeral home.
