Marie A. Closter, daughter of William and Mary (Seltz) Neuhaus, was born January 20, 1916 at Papillion. Her family moved to Creighton when she was very young. She graduated from Creighton High School. Then, she taught school in District 24 and District 58 near Winnetoon for six years.
On December 26, 1938 she was married to Edward Closter at St. Ludger Catholic Church in Creighton. Three sons were born to them, Donald, Alan and Jerry.
She was a member of St. Ludger Catholic church, Altar Society and Catholic Daughters of America.
Maiee passed away on November 14, 2000 at Creighton Area Health Services at the age of 84.
Survivors include her husband, Ed; sons, Donald, Jerry and wife, Sharon, all of Creighton and Alan and wife, Marty of Richmond, VA, five grandchildren; two great grandchildren and a sister, Helen Schram of Papillion.
She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, Herman, Arthur, Alvin and Bill.
