Janice McEntire Williams, a retired nurse, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2006, at home.
Funeral: 11:30 a.m. Saturday in Mount Olivet Chapel. Burial: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home.
Janice was born Nov. 30 in Fort Worth to John Cleveland and Ollie Rich McEntire. She was a member of Diamond Hill Baptist Church for 69 years and was active as long as health permitted. Even then, she continued to serve as treasurer for her Sunday school class and discussed each week's lesson with her friends.
She received nursing training at All Saints Hospital and worked for over 30 years. After retirement, she enjoyed making many craft projects and writing poetry, winning awards in both areas. Janice will be remembered by her many friends and family for her quick wit, her sense of humor and her giving nature. Her daughters feel blessed to have had a most loving and generous Christian mother.

Survivors: Daughters, Betty Jones McEntire of Yuma, Ariz., and Judy Methvin and husband, Scott, of Fort Worth; brother-in-law, Rowland Norris of Blowing Rock, N.C.; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
