Mrs. Bishop was born in Sylva, the daughter of the late Enis and Maude Ashe. She was the widow of Daniel Charlie Bishop, who passed away March 27, 1984. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Rachel Bishop Queen, who died Nov. 19, 2004, and granddaughter, Brenda Strait Mills of Wisconsin.
She is survived by her daughter, Wanda Strait of Readstown, Wis.; three sons, Charles Enis Bishop and wife, Nancy, of Enka, Grover Lloyd Bishop of Cullowhee and James Robert Bishop of Salisbury; one granddaughter, five grandsons, four stepgrandsons and several great-grandchildren.
