DIGHTON - Carlos D. Roberts, 77, died April 25, 1990, at Lane County Hospital, Dighton.
He was born Dec. 19, 1912, in Gove County, the son of Lewis William and Jennie Rogers
Roberts.
A lifetime resident of Lane and Gove counties, he was a farmer and stockman.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Dighton, and the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Gove.
On Aug. 11, 1940, he married Elizabeth L. Bentley at Valhalla. She survives. Other survivors include: three sons, Marvin and Carl, both of Shields, and Allen, Dighton; two daughters, Ellen Louise McCue, Wellington, and Vada Davis, Sublette; five brothers, Dale, Delmar, and Cecil,
all of Quinter, Theo, Salina, and Wendell, Colby; three sisters, Fern Benner, Quinter, Anna Lea Dohm, Grinnell, and Wilma Gillespie, Grainfield; 11 grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and one step-greatgrandchild.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the United Methodist church, Dighton, with the Rev. Paul Irwin presiding. Burial will be in Dighton Memorial Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the church or to Lane County Hospital, both in care of Boomhower Funeral Home, Dighton.
