Married Mary Mae Welch 18 Jan 1847 Lawrence county Tennessee.

Also known as Ben R Mauldin.

Served in the 2nd Mississippi Regiment, Company C, Confederate Army, joined in Tippah county Mississippi in 1861.

Died after June 1880. Listed on the Texas 1880 U.S. Census in Hill county Texas where a lot of the Mauldin family moved to.

The 1890 US census was partly damaged and it makes it difficult to find what happened to some of the Mauldin family members.

But since he went to Texas, he is probably buried there. Many of the Mauldin family lived in Hillsboro Texas and some then went to other places in Texas.

Son of Able Mauldin and unknown wife from Tennessee.

He was a Blacksmith.

His son George Washington Mauldin died of diabetes and paralysis.

This family has a history of Paralysis of the Mauldin men, some lived a long life with paralysis.
