w/o Herman...Cora Alice Dressler, 86, of Mount Pleasant Mills RR2, died at 2:30 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2000, at the home of of her daughter in Bloomsburg.

Born Dec. 31, 1913, in Snyder County, she was the daughter of the late William and Annie Elizabeth (Snyder) Troup. Her husband, Herman George Dressler, whom she married on July 28, 1934 survives.

Also surviving are: a son and two daughters, Wayne E. Dressler, Thompsontown RR1, Mrs. Terrence R.(Irene L.) Klock of Bloomsburg, with whom Mr. and Mrs. Dressler lived, and Mrs. Russell R. "Pappy" (Nancy E.) Stroup of McAlisterville RR1, three sisters, Mrs. Richard (Anna) Hahn and Dora Fisher, both of Millerstown RR and Mary Sanders of Mount Pleasant Mills RR2; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, Charles, Samuel, John and Frank Troup; one sister who died in infancy; one grandson, Timothy E. Stroup on Aug. 11, 1983, and one great-grandson, Zachary Maneval in 1998.

She was educated in the Snyder County rural schools.

She retired in 1975 from the Selinsgrove Center, where she was employed in the dietary department for over 12 years. She had previously been employed at various shirt factories in the Snyder County area.

She was an active member of the Aline United Methodist Church, Mount Pleasant Mills RR1, where she served as president of the Willing Workers. She was a member of the Ladies Prayer Breakfast, served as chairman of the Prayer Chain, and was also a member of the Secret Sister Group of the church.

Services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Aline United Methodist Church, with Pastor James E. Lewis officiating. Interment was at the Aline Untied Methodist Church Cemetery.

Friends called from 7-9 p.m. Friday at the church.
