MRS. IDA BANKS DIES AT AGE OF 73; SERVICES ARE HELD AT WHITCO CHURCH
Mrs. Ida Banks, 73, Whitesburg, died Jan. 14 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington.
Mrs. Banks was survived by five sons: James E. Banks, Charles Earnest Banks, Billy K. Banks, and Jackson Dafoe Banks, of Whitesburg, and Harlan Clay Banks, of Morehead.
Survivors also included four daughters -- Elsie Aouate, Detroit; Elizabeth Boiling, Latonia, Ky.; Rosa Lee Tyree, Tiffin, Ohio, and Josephine Banks, Whitesburg.
Also surviving were one brother, Harvey Stallard, Ermine; and five sisters -- Callie Ison and Mary Ison, both of Oscaloosa; Rousey Banks, Whitesburg; Delia Hall, Ermine, and Hattie Mae Fouts, of Cooksville, Tenn.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 16, in the Free will Baptist Church, Whitco. Ministers were Rev. Ira Harvey and Rev. J. S. Bell.
Burial was in the Bony Banks Cemetery, at Ice. The Blair Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
