Paulina, relict of Anson Cook, died at her late residence on Monday of the present week in the 61st year of her age. She had been a continual sufferer for many months, and for several days had been lying in a critical condition, therefore her death created no surprise. She was the mother of eight children, the youngest of whom has nearly attained the age of his majority. Her remains will be buried in the new cemetery at Fly Creek. Thus one by one the older inhabitants are passing away and the connecting links of generations are being broken." ~contributed by Boni Huddleston
