Marie Fine Stokely, age 86, of Newport, passed away Monday, August 22, 2011 at her home. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Stokely; parents, Charles Alton and Sue Addie Fine; son Ronnie Fine; sister, Sue Hayes; brothers, Billy Eugene Fine, Bob Fine; daughter-in-law, Gail Fine; brother-in-law, Forrest McNabb.. She is survived by her son, Jerry Fine; daughter, Lou Fine Grooms and husband Tommy; sisters, Betty McNabb and Dean Foster of Newport; granddaughter, Tammy Poore, Theresa Cody, Kelly Fine, Louanne Fine, Keith Baxter, Karen Gilland; great grandchildren, Ashely Cody, Erica Cody, Alyvia Regan, Nick Baxter, Paige Gilland, Megan and McKenzie Poore, and Tyra Regan; also a host of other special family and friends and her church family at Southside Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held 8:00 pm Thursday, 25, 2011 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Charlie Boggan officiating. Burial will be 11:00 am Friday, August 26, 2011, in Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Thursday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral.
