Obituary;
Amos Abbott, better known by his many acquaintances here as "Unc" Abbott died at the Old Soldiers home in Leavenworth, Friday of last week. Uncle had a lot of kind friends in Lebanon and his work shows in a majority of the houses in Lebanon. He was a stone mason and the foundation work of all the earlier built houses was of his work. He had been at the Old Soldiers home three weeks and had been gradually declining in health for the past several months. He was a kindly old soul and with his many friends we will miss his kindly greeting and cheerful disposition for one of his age. He was buried at the place of his death.
