Albert Manuel Atwell, 60, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Panama City, Fla., on Sept. 17, 2011.
He was born in Valparaiso, Fla., to George B. Atwell Sr. and Lucille Troquille Atwell on Jan. 15, 1951. He was preceded in death by his mother and father. After graduation from Niceville High School he attended the University of West Florida, obtaining his master's degree. He worked in the medical field at Bay Medical Center in Panama City. He loved his work there and will be missed by his family, friends and co-workers.
Albert is survived by his sister, Melody A. (Atwell) Lowry (Keith) of Northfield, Ohio; his brother, George B. Atwell (Carolyn) of Niceville, Fla.; nephews and nieces, Michael, Sheri, Cam and Steven; along with many great-nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Twin Cities Cremation and Funeral Services, 1405 John Sims Pkwy. East, Niceville, on Thursday, Sept. 22, from 10 a.m. to noon. A private graveside service will be held Thursday afternoon at Sunset Cemetery in Valparaiso, Fla.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations to Bay Medical Center Foundation, 615 North Bonita Ave., Panama City, FL 32401
