DONALD L. ADAMS , 65, of 111 East First Street, Lyndon, died at CGH Medical Center, Sterling, on June 18, 1990. Visitation and funeral services were held at the Melvin-Schilling Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Hartman, Pastor of Lyndon United Methodist Church officiating. Burial was with military rites at Riverside Cemetery, Sterling. A memorial was established. Mr. Don Adams was born May 6, 1925 in Sterling, the son of Jasper and Clara (Johnson) Adams. He married Patricia Greer on December 21, 1944, in Sterling. Mr. Adams had been employed as a machinist at Northwestern Steel and Wire Company, retiring in 1985. He was a veteran of World War II and was a member of the Sterling American Legion, the Sterling VFW and a life member of Am-Vets. He is survived by his wife Patricia; his mother, Clara, of Sterling; three sons, Robert of Rock Falls, Larry of Round Grove, and Kenny of Dixon; four daughters, Mrs. Connie (Randall) Morgan, Sterling, Mrs. Linda (Wayne) Gallentine, Rock Falls, Mrs. Jean (Dan) Schultz, Deer Grove, Mrs. Judy Celletti, Rock Falls; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his father.
