She was a daughter of Martin (of Meppel) Van Alstyne and she was possibly born at, or near, Houten, Utrecht, Holland, the Netherlands about 1618. She married Cornelis Maasen Van Buren and they had five children, two of whom are my ancestors since their descendants in future generations married each other. The children of Catalyntje and Cornelis who are my ancestors are Marten Cornelissz Van Buren, born 1638 - 1640, who had two wives (first wife who was ancestor Maria-Maritje P. Quackenbush and second wife Jannecke-Jane Adams) and Christina-Styntje Cornelise Van Buren, born May 19, 1644, who married Major Dirck Wesselsen Ten Broeck.
