A deplorable accident occurred last Sunday on the Keno farm 3 ½ miles west of town, which resulted in the death of Fancher Beaty, the 14 year old son of J.A. Beaty. The boy was riding a pony which became un manageable and ran into a wire gate, throwing its rider. The boy was rendered unconscious by the fall. Doctors Connoway and McKinnon were summoned but in spite of their efforts death from concussion of the brain ensued early Monday morning. Remains were laid to rest in the Minco cemetery Monday morning.
