Arnold G. Hoff, 85, of Ladysmith, died there July 9. Funeral services were Friday morning at Hope Lutheran Churck in Ladysmith, with the Rev. Dwight Hanson officiating and interment at Hawkins Hillcrest Cemetery.

Mr. Hoff was born Nov. 12, 1924 to Iver and Carrie Hoff in Osseo. He moved to Rockford, Ill., after serving in the military in World War II. Mr. Hoff married Martha in Rockford on Jan. 18, 1964. In 1969 they moved to Hawkins, and in 1974 they moved to Ladysmith. Mr. Hoff was a real estate appraiser and agency manager for Rural Insurance. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Ladysmith Lions Club and the Masons. Mr. Hoff enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling.

He is survived by his wife, Martha; a son, Chuck McDaniel of Waupaca; two daughters, Janie Thompson of Prescott, Ariz., and Karly Peavey of Ladysmith; 10 grandchildren; and a great granddaughter.

Mr. Hoff's son Kenneth McDaniel preceded him in death.
