Della Mae Blanton, age 76, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at Texoma Medical Center.
Mrs. Blanton was born on April 8, 1931 in Rusk, Texas the daughter of George Washington and Georgia Kendall (Edwards) Bland. Della married Joe Thomas Blanton on March 4, 1947 in Corsicana, Texas. She loved the Lord and her family. Della was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Mrs. Blanton is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Joe Blanton ; three daughters, Cathy (Don) Donelson , Linda (Bob) Moore and Carolyn (Jim) Buckner ; two sons, Larry (Gay) Blanton , Michael (Linda)Blanton ; 13 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 16, 2007 at Fisher Funeral Chapel with Rev. Keith Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Kemp Cemetery in Kemp, Oklahoma. Family visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 15, 2007 at Fisher Funeral Home.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home, located at 604 West Main in Denison.
