Gladys M. Smith, 90, of Sioux City died Saturday, May 29, 2004, at Casa de Paz.
The body was cremated. There will be no services. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.
Mrs. Smith was born Dec. 30, 1913, in Alto, Texas, the daughter of George and Georgie (Edwards) Bland.
She married Joe B. Smith on March 26, 1969, in Breckenridge, Texas. He died July 20, 1991, in Breckenridge. She had lived in Texas until her husband died, then came to Sioux City. She was employed as a commercial seamstress.
She was of the Methodist faith. She enjoyed making quilts and was a member of the Democratic Party.
Survivors include a daughter, Dorothy J. Pemberton; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandson; one brother Vernon Bland and one sister Della Blanton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; and one sister.
